PM’s official residence now open to the public

PETALING JAYA: Ever wanted to see where the Prime Minister lives? Now you can.

The Prime Minister’s official residence, Seri Perdana, is now open to the public six days a week. According to the official Seri Perdana website, the building “belongs to the people” and is therefore open to the public.

Visitors can go on guided tours of the residence and will have access to the Protocol and Banquet blocks. Guided tours are held from Monday to Thursday except for public holidays or during official functions. Bookings must be made at least seven days in advance.

Visitors are required to be properly dressed and bring along identification documents such as an identity card or passport. They are also forbidden from making any recordings while inside the building.

Seri Perdana was completed in 1997 and features a mixture of Malay, Islamic and European design ideas.
