Malaysia Airlines to launch new platform, app

KUALA LUMPUR: National carrier Malaysia Airlines Bhd (MAB) is targeting to launch a new platform and app that will provide customised travelling experience for its customers soon.

Group chief marketing and customer experience officer Lau Yin May said the carrier is talking to several partners to offer the services on its platform and app.

“We want to focus on building memorable experiences for our guests at every touch point,” she said.

MAB is roping in partners from accommodation and transportation to tour providers, she said after the launch of MAB’s second phase Malaysian Hospitality campaign.

Lau said the second phase of the campaign is to extend Malaysian Hospitality experience beyond just flights.

“We intend to drive all hospitality players within the eco-system to come together through our app called MHassistant, your 24/7 travel buddy that looks beyond flights and into additional features such as MHvouchers where our guests can enjoy everything that our country has to offer, including cuisines and shopping experience,” said Lau.

Under the app and website, she said guests can customise their own holiday via a combination of flights, accommodation, tours, activities and attractions, so they could discover and experience some of the best places in the country.

MAB worked with advertising agency M&C Saatchi (M) Sdn Bhd to launch its Malaysian Hospitality campaign, which feature the diversity of its employees in providing its services.

“Malaysian Hospitality is all about treating everyone not as passengers but guests in our homes,” Lau said.
