HL Cement extends closing date for Tasek Corp takeover

KUALA LUMPUR: HL Cement (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has extended the closing date for Tasek Corporation Bhd’s minority shareholders to accept its takeover offer from July 19 to Aug 5.

HL Cement said on Monday that except for the closing date, all other details and the terms and conditions of the offer, including the takeover offer price of RM5.50 a share, remained unchanged.

At 5pm on July 19, HL Cement owned 103.429 million Tasek shares or 85.38%.

At midday, Tasek’s share price was unchanged at RM5.53.
