Johor committed to proposals empowering sustainable development

KOTA TINGGI (Nov 11): The state government is committed to the plans of any party to empower Johor holistically by emphasising sustainable development.

Johor Menteri Besar, Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal noted that the proposal to open the Dwi Emas International School, a first international entrepreneurship school in Pengerang was most welcomed.

The school will be the third branch for Ace EdVenture Group after its school campuses in Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya.

“The state government welcomes the plan to develop the state based on niche locations to enhance the provision of infrastructure and public facilities in rural areas.

“Innocity at Sungai Rengit, Pengerang is a 500 acres mixed development project by Green Target Group and YPJ Plantations Sdn Bhd,” he said in his speech at the launch of Innocity Sales Gallery and MoU signing between the two companies for the international school, housing and commercial development projects in Pengerang, yesterday.

Present were Green Target Group managing director Datuk Tan Hong Lai, YPJ Holding Sdn Bhd chief executive officer, Salehuddin Hassan, Dwi Emas International School founder, Anee Tham and Kota Tinggi district officer, Farizal Ismail.

He noted that the strategic partnership would not only provide good returns but would also bring about comprehensive economic and social development for Pengerang and its surrounding areas and the concept adopted by Innocity was in line with Johor’s Sustainable Development Plan 2019-2030.
