KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks that could be seeing active trading interest on Tuesday include Duopharma Biotech Bhd, Perisai Petroleum Teknologi Bhd, Crest Builder Holdngs Bhd and Seacera Group Bhd, says JF Apex research.
In its daily highlight report, the research house noted recent newsflow that could draw investor attention to the stocks.
Duopharma Biotech Bhd has obtained a one-year extension worth RM91.06mil from the Malaysian government for the supply of human insulin products.
Perisai Petroleum Teknologi Bhd has bagged a contract extension worth US$7.6mil (RM31.77mil) from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of a jack up drilling rig for the latter’s Samarang drilling campaign.
CREST BUILDER HOLDINGS BHD is buying a 2.646-hectare freehold land in Klang from WCT Holdings Bhd for RM55mil.
Shareholders of Seacera Group Bhd has voted for the appointment of Rozaidi Baharudin as an independent director of the company’s board but had voted against the election of Abdul Razak Jamaludin, Mohamad Safwan Abdul Malek and Rozana Ismail.
In yesterday’s session, the FBM KLCI rebounded 8.81 points to 1,570.55 following the heavy sell-off in Friday trading.
However, JF Apex noted that the index could remain pressured at its 1,550 support following bearish performances in the US and Europe.
US markets had fallen overnight on the back of manufacturing data and uncertainty on the US-China trade deal ahead of the Dec 15 deadline.
European stocks were also in the red after US President Donald Trump threatened to impose tariffs on metal imports from Brazil and Argentina.
