Sunway launches campaign to boost domestic tourism

KUALA LUMPUR (July 2): Sunway Bhd (Sunway) is launching a campaign, “Ke Sana Ke Sini Ke Sunway”, on July 6 to boost domestic tourism.

Sunway Malls and Theme Parks chief executive officer HC Chan said the campaign is timely as Sunway Lagoon Theme Park will be in full operation as it will be re-opened to the public from July 4.

The campaign will feature exclusive tourism packages at a great price of 70 percent off its actual value at the internationally-renowned Sunway City Kuala Lumpur.

“Malaysia has fared well. Thanks largely to the containment efforts by all Malaysians in the wake of the (COVID-19) pandemic.

“As a gesture of support, Sunway offers this attractive package for the much-needed rest and rejuvenation. As a key tourism player, we also need to play our part in restarting tourism domestically,” he said in a statement today.

He said the campaign is also in line with the Government’s effort in rejuvenating the industry with the announcement on the RM1,000 tax relief for domestic tourism.

He said the ‘Ke Sana Ke Sini Ke Sunway’ package, which can be bought for RM499, includes a two-night stay at Sunway Pyramid Hotel, entrance tickets for two adults and two children to Sunway Lagoon, and Sunway Pyramid cash vouchers worth RM200.

“The original value of this package amounts to RM 1,599. Customers can purchase the package from July 6 until July 20 and utilise the package to visit Sunway City Kuala Lumpur from July 7 to Oct 31,” he said.

Meanwhile, Chan said Sunway has also placed hygiene and safety as its top priority and implemented stringent measures at its premises to protect staff, visitors, and thecommunity.

“All Sunway premises, including Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Lagoon, Sunway Hotels, and other Sunway premises in the township uphold strict safety and hygiene practices and policies.

“The protocols in place are in line with the recommendations by the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation,” he added.
