Spring Art to launch own B2C e-commerce website

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 19): Ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture products designer and manufacturer Spring Art Holdings Bhd is set to launch its own business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce website.

In a statement today, Spring Art managing director Jack Lim Kok Eng said the website, “Elisa – E-commerce Live in Spring Art” is slated to be launched by February 2021 in tandem with its new brand of products.

“This is the first time that Spring Art has been involved in conducting B2C e-commerce business.

“We believe that the new marketing B2C strategy is the business trend moving forward,” he said.

Currently, the company supplies its RTA furniture products to distributors, furniture showroom retailers, home furnishing chain store and e-commerce companies from 35 countries such as India, Japan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Bahrain and the US.

Lim said in the current new norm, Spring Art has also started to adopt strategies to boost customer engagement through working closely with e-commerce partners in Malaysia.

“We are targeting to achieve up to RM3.0 million sales from our own B2C e-commerce website by 2021,” said Lim.

He said the Covid-19 pandemic movement control order saw an increase in online shopping for products including RTA furniture products and this trend is expected to continue worldwide.

Commenting on its current operations, Lim said the firm had in February rented a factory in Pagoh and operated one production line to increase the volumes of furniture products to supply to its customers by 56,169 units per annum.

“We have installed another production line in the rented factory in Pagoh this month.

“We plan to install another one or two production lines in 2021 to increase our production capacity,” he said.

At 10.45am, Spring Art dipped 1.33% or 0.5 sen to 37 sen with 4.93 million shares traded.
