KUALA LUMPUR: MGB Bhd, a subsidiary of LBS Bina Group Bhd, is collaborating with the Selangor state government to develop and build more than 7,000 units of Rumah Selangorku Idaman by the first half (1H) of 2021.

In a statement today, MGB said the affordable houses would be located inShah Alam, Bandar Saujana Putra, Dengkil, Puncak Alam and Puchong and would use in-house Industrialised Building System (IBS) pre-cast technology.

MGB group managing director Tan Sri Lim Hock San said Rumah Selangorku Idaman had proven to be a dire need for the state as the demand for affordable housing was steadily increasing.

“Over the years, the Selangor state government has made concerted efforts to help the rakyat to have their own homes and its holistic incentives will improve the economic environment which ultimately enables the property development industry to grow and benefit first time home buyers,” he said in a statement.

MGB said Rumah Selangorku Idaman would be high rise residential homes, starting from RM250,000, with a minimum built-up size of 1,000 sq ft per unit which includes three bedrooms, two bathrooms and two car park bays.

It said demand for affordable houses had been rising in recent years especially in the urban area.

“Our exclusive targets home buyers who are working or staying in Selangor and first-time home buyers who are above 18 years old with household income of less than RM10,000.

‘More importantly, the developments are strategically located, with good accessibility to the amenities in its surroundings.

“Since 2007, MGB has built more than 15,500 units of properties in Malaysia.

“Currently, we have an outstanding order book of approximately RM1.75 billion. With the inclusion of more than 7,000 units of Rumah Selangorku Idaman, our order book will double,” said Lim.
