MB: Johor ready for any eventualities in Pasir Gudang during UPSR

JOHOR BARU: The state government is ready to tackle any emergencies that may occur in Pasir Gudang during the UPSR examination, says Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal.

He said the relevant agencies, including the state Department of Environment (DOE), had made early preparations to ensure that the Year Six examination would run smoothly.

“DoE has also been conducting regular air quality checks in the schools, and so far the readings are normal.

“I advise students not to get too stressed out about the examination as this might trigger panic attacks,” he said.

Dr Sahruddin said this to the press when met on the first day of the UPSR examination on Wednesday (Sept 4) at SK Temenggong Abdul Rahman 1 here.

Meanwhile, state Education Department (JPN) director Azman Adnan said there were 12 high-risk schools in the district that were being monitored.
