Maximising talent for game-changing results in a VUCA world

MAXIMISING talent is crucial for leaders to get the best from their team to face challenges in an increasingly challenging business landscape.

In a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) world, leaders who develop and engage their talent can greatly contribute to the attainment of key goals and objectives.

They would want to get maximum results from their people while engaging, developing and cultivating them to encourage retention and preparing for bigger responsibilities.

Leaders who can do so place themselves in the best position to meet the business needs of the organisation.

These needs can include filling vacancies left by retiring leaders, enhancing competencies to deal with tremendous change and growth in retaining high performers to sustain results.

That said, Institute of Training and Development (ITD) World is pleased to have world-renowned human resources guru and professor at Pennsylvania State University, Dr William Rothwell, to speak at the Leadership Team Summit 2019 in October.

He will share strategies to enhance leadership by maximising the talent that organisations have during the summit, which covers Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Penang, Ho Chi Minh City and Manila from Oct 2 to 11.

Leaders from leading companies and government agencies in the region are expected to join the summit held in five cities across South-East Asia over two weeks.

Participants stand to learn cutting-edge best practices from leading authorities and thought leaders to drive their teams towards realising the vision of their organisation.

They also can obtain quick wins with the toolkits and materials provided to drive rapid results in a fast-changing environment.

Those in attendance have the opportunity to network and share experiences among talent and top leaders.

The summit also explores new thinking about the changing nature of work, the workforce and workplace environment, which shapes the future of maximising talent.

With more than 120 human resources books credited to him, Rothwell enables high-level executives to get the best from their team in a summit where participants become the best by learning from the best.

Speaking alongside Rothwell is ITD World chief executive officer Dr Peter Chee, who is the only Asian to be ranked among the top four global coaching gurus.

In addition to developing leaders in over 80 countries, Dr Chee has co-authored books with Marshall Goldsmith, Jack Canfield, William J. Rothwell and Brian Tracy.

For his part, Dr Chee will be sharing his wisdom on using disruptive coaching to drive game-changing results.

The insights and techniques he shares are aimed at unleashing heightened performance to outshine competition.

Leaders who adopt effective approaches to spark creativity and innovative thinking can unleash the potential of their teams to unlock breakthrough solutions that allow teams to win big and fast.
