Sunway Property becomes Malaysia’s 1st to offer convertible homes online

SUNWAY Property has been recognised by the Malaysian Book of Records (MBR) for creating the nation’s “First Property Customisation & Online Purchase System” for its integrated Sunway Grid project in Sunway Iskandar, Johor Baru.

“We are honoured to be certified by MBR for being the first developer in Malaysia to launch digitallypurchasable- and-customisable homes,” Sunway Iskandar CEO Gerard Soosay said in a statement last week.

“With only a few clicks, no matter where they are or what time it is, customers will be able to customise, book and purchase their preferred ‘convertible homes’ in Sunway GRID Residence. Buyers only need to pay RM500 via a payment gateway to reserve the type (standard or loft), unit floor, view (river or harbour view), unit, layout, number of rooms and furnishings they prefer.

“For the buyers, this project intends to deliver convenience, service quality and for us, it would ultimately deliver improvement in competitiveness for the long haul since any business’ future now depends on technology,” he added.

Gerard also said the concept for Sunway GRID was to offer the utmost flexibility for buyers during the purchasing process.

“MBR acknowledges originality and creativity. We believe that Sunway GRID has achieved this with its first e-commerce website that allows customisation online in Malaysia,” MBR CEO Christopher Wong said in the same statement.

To attract the youths to Sunway Iskandar, personalisation and affordable pricing was made priority in the Medini vicinity.

The integrated development comprises shops, office and residential components that aspire to bring together a youth community, so that they can exchange ideas and flourish their ambitions.

The residence, which is part of a RM402 million gross development value that prioritises on a youth-centric development, has already achieved a 70% take-up rate.

Sunway Property, the property development arm of Sunway Bhd, also holds a 40% stake in Sunway GRID Residence and has invested RM1 billion in the project.

The company also offers a RM10,000 rebate for online purchases with its Crazy GRID Deals until April 30.

Buyers will be able to enjoy the newly-opened Sunway Big Box Retail Park, X Park and Sunway International School which are just a short walking distance away with Sunway Big Box Hotel and SJK (C) Cheah Fah school underway.

Sunway Iskandar in 5km away from Singapore via the Coastal Highway Southern Link.

Public buses will also be provided by Causeway Link for residents working and travelling from the township.
