Sime Darby Property achieves RM250 million property sales over one weekend

Sime Darby Property’s spotlight 8 campaign garnered bookings worth a total of RM250 million on its first weekend from new and returning customers.

The units booked were part of phase 1 and phase 2 of Elmina Green Three homes, the latest development of two-storey houses located within the City of Elmina township in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Phase 1 offered 218 units and in response to the high demand, the company opened for sale phase 2 which saw an additional 65 units taken up during the launch.

In total, Sime Darby Property sold 283 units of Elmina Green Three homes, priced from RM709,999 before Bumiputera discount.

The campaign has drawn interest from buyers within Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Brunei, to as far as the United Kingdom.

Elmina Green Three comprises 20 × 80 extended linked homes (10 feet longer than usual), with built-up areas from 2,262 sq ft to 2,983 sq ft.

Sime Darby Property group managing director Datuk Azmir Merican said the re-introduction of the spotlight 8 campaign enables the company to continue its strong sales momentum from the previous successful online sales campaigns.

“The numbers show that there is a demand for quality homes, which are sold at attractive prices and located within strategic locations. Our spotlight 8 campaign will enable us to drive sales forward, especially with the added boost from the government’s homeownership campaign,” he said in a statement.

The inaugural spotlight 8 campaign, introduced in July last year, sold a total of 1,160 units within Bandar Bukit Raja, City of Elmina, KL East, Subang Jaya, Serenia City, Putra Heights, Kajang and Negeri Sembilan, achieving over RM1.1 billion in sales.

Azmir said sales from the campaign last year exceeded the company’s expectations.

“We beat the odds of the property market conditions. We hope to attain similar success this year despite the current situation,” he said.

The spotlight 8 campaign features new launches and super deals on properties across different townships every weekend for 11 weeks, until 27 September.

The campaign this weekend (July 25-26) will offer super deals of freehold and landed homes in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang.

It will also feature three more new launches (coming up soon) of freehold and landed residential homes within the Greater Klang Valley.
