Independent reps join Johor Pakatan

JOHOR BARU: Two independent assemblymen have joined Pakatan Harapan in Johor.

Mentri Besar Datuk Osman Sapian named them as Sedili assemblyman Rasman Ithnain and Johor Lama assemblyman Roslaily Johari, who have joined Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia.

“Both joined Bersatu on Nov 19,” he said after a briefing for the media yesterday on the state budget.

In May, Endau assemblyman Alwiyah Talib joined Bersatu. All three were from Umno and won their seats on a Barisan Nasional ticket. After winning, they declared themselves as independent.

Asked if more assemblymen would cross over, Osman said: “Let’s wait and see.”

With the latest entries to Pakatan, the ruling coalition will have 39 assemblymen.
