Johor exco arrives for swearing-in ceremony

JOHOR BARU: Johor executive councillors have started to arrive at Istana Bukit Serene here for their swearing-in ceremony.

Among the first to arrive at 8.21am on Monday (April 22) were Bukit Batu assemblyman Jimmy Puah Wee Tse, followed by Paloh assemblyman Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali, Semerah assemblyman Mohd Khuzzan Abu Bakar, Parit Yaani assemblyman Aminolhuda Hassan, Kota Iskandar assemblyman Dzulkefly Ahmad and Johor Jaya assemblyman Liow Cai Tung

Jementah assemblyman Tan Chen Choon who is expected to replace Skudai assemblyman Tan Hong Pin, Bekok assemblyman Dr S. Ramakrishnan and Johor Mentri Besar Dr Sahruddin Jamal followed after.

However another two who supposed to replace Puteri Wangsa assemblyman Mazlan Bujang and another from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia were not seen entering the palace.

Presently, there are 10 state executive councillors, including four from DAP and two each from Bersatu, Parti Amanah Negara and PKR.

A press conference will be held by Dr Sahruddin with the new state exco line-up at Kota Iskandar after the ceremony.
