Johor kicks off immunisation awareness campaign

PAGOH: An immunisation campaign has been carried out in several Johor districts to instil confidence and create awareness among the people of the benefits of getting the Covid-19 vaccination.

The campaign was held at the Pagoh, Bukit Kepong and Bukit Gambir districts.

“We have now entered the prevention as well as immunisation stage to combat Covid-19,” said Bukit Kepong state assemblyman Datuk Dr Sahruddin Jamal.

With strong government support as well as the Health Ministry’s readiness to administer the vaccines, he encouraged Malaysians to register to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

“The people must be prudent and protect themselves and their families. The aim is to achieve herd immunity against Covid-19. We have been carrying out visits to provide rural and suburban folk with food supplies during this Movement Control Order, and we will continue doing this to create awareness on the benefits of vaccination.”
