Malaysia will be the first to get Huawei Mate 20 series

Get your cash ready people – the Huawei Mate 20 range is coming your way real soon.

Right after the global launch in London, Huawei announced that Malaysia will be the first country to get the Mate 20 series.

The Mate 20 series boasts four smartphones – the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X and the Porsche Design Mate 20 RS.

The Mate 20 with a 6.5in display and a 4,000mAh battery is priced at RM2,799 while the 6.4in Mate 20 Pro with 4,200mAh battery has an RM3,599 price tag.

The 7.2in Mate 20 X with 5,000mAh battery costs RM3,199, while there is no update if the Mate 20 RS will make its way to Malaysia.

Huawei is also bringing in the Watch GT which will come in two designs – Sport and Classic – with a 1.39in (454 x 254 pixels) Amoled display.

With activity tracking and fitness coaching features, the Watch GT has a power-saving algorithm that is claimed to keep the battery going for up to two weeks when used without GPS. Unlike its predecessors, the RM999 Watch GT will forgo Android Wear OS in favour of LiteOS.

Another wearable to make its way to Malaysia is the sports wristband Talkband B5 with 1.13in Amoled screen. It can monitor heart-rate and sleep patterns, and can be detached to double as a Bluetooth headset to answer phone calls. It is priced at RM699.

The MateBook D and Huawei MateBook X Pro (i5 & i7) are also coming here and will be priced at RM2,999, RM4,999 and RM6,999, respectively.

Pre-order for the Mate 20 series starts from Oct 19 at matepreorder.3ex.com.my. Customers who pre-order will get a Talkband B5 and a chance enjoy Mate VIP Rewards worth up to RM10,000.

Those who purchase the Matebook X Pro and Matebook D will receive a Huawei backpack, Bluetooth mouse and a sleeve (for MateBook X Pro series only) worth RM1,000 while stocks last.
