UPSR results released on Thursday

THE Education Ministry wants to ease parents’ worry that pupils can only collect their Primary School Assessment Report (PPSR), which contains reports for sports, physical and curriculum activities, classroom assessment and psychometric assessment together with their UPSR results next Thursday.

The ministry said the Examinations Syndicate has also previously released the exam results during the school holidays.

“The delay this time is due to the exam being held almost two weeks later than the exam in 2017.

“This is because there were several public holidays at the end of August and in September,” said the ministry in a statement on Thursday.

The delay has caused the exam scripts to be marked late while the Examinations Syndicate must also adhere to strict procedure on the release of the results.

The ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that Year Six pupils will be able to collect their results from 10am from their respective schools on Thursday.

Special needs pupils will also be able to collect the Primary School Alternative Assessment on the same day.

Education director-general Datuk Dr Amin Senin had said pupils can also obtain their results through the Short Messaging System (SMS) by sending MySMS to 15888.

“This system will be activated from 10am on Nov 29 to 6pm on Dec 8.

“Relatives can also obtain the results if the pupils are unable to do so,” he said.

They can log onto the Examinations Syndicate portal at lp.moe.gov.my. to check their results.

A total of 440,743 pupils registered for the UPSR, which was held on Sept 20, 24, 25, 26 and 27.
