Knight Frank Malaysia appoints Johor Bahru branch head

Knight Frank Malaysia has announced the appointment of a new branch head, with former Capital Markets Manager Debbie Choy promoted to lead the Johor Bahru office.

While Knight Frank Malaysia Executive Director Ricky Lee will remain an advisor to the branch, Ms Choy will be in charge of ensuring the service lines within it are adding value to the clients.

She said she was looking forward to harnessing the potential of the site.

“I am settling into the Johor office well, as we have a great and supportive team here,” she said.

“We appreciate the synergy between the Johor office and the Singapore team and, while we continue to monitor our progress closely, we are also eager to review the recorded achievement at the end of 2019.

“I believe that whilst I am guiding the team in Johor, I am also learning from them.”

After joining the company as part of the Capital Markets department in 2016, Ms Choy went on to play a key role in the successful transactions of an industrial facility in Section 23, Shah Alam and a commercial building in Petaling Jaya.

She also facilitated contact between the Malaysia, UK and Australian offices.

Knight Frank Malaysia Managing Director Sarkunan Subramaniam said Ms Choy brought extensive valuation experience to the role.

“Debbie shows maturity and the ability to understand clients’ needs and finds appropriate solutions,” he said.

“This is the key reason why we believe she is the right fit to lead the Knight Frank Johor Bahru office.”

Ms Choy is a registered Valuer, Estate Agent and Property Manager with the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers of Malaysia.
