Dominic Silva to join MIDF Amanah Investment as deputy CEO

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Dominic Silva (pic), former head of investments at sovereign wealth fund Khazanah Nasional Bhd, will be joining MIDF Amanah Investment Bhd as deputy CEO effective Jan 7, 2019.

In a statement, MIDF Group said Silva was a well-known corporate figure and had worked in the areas of banking, finance and investments, strategic management, business building and financial sector development, cross-border investing, risk and portfolio management, and corporate restructuring.

Silva was most recently a director at DMY Capital. He left Khazanah as the fund’s head of investments and an executive director in July last year after nine years.

Previously, he had spent over 10 years in ABN Amro Bank (later known as Royal Bank of Scotland) in various positions in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Amsterdam and Hong Kong, where his last post was as head of commercial, Asia.

MIDF group managing director Datuk Charon Mokhzani said: “I have had the pleasure of working with Dominic over the years as my client, shareholder and colleague and am thrilled that he is joining the MIDF group.

“He brings gravitas and decades of front-line experience to our investment banking franchise and I am sure he will take us to new heights.
