MMHE appoints new CFO, directors

PETALING JAYA: Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Bhd (MMHE) has made several new appointments to its senior management team and board of directors.

The group has appointed Ahmad Zakri Md Salleh, 39, as the new chief financial officer (CFO) to replace Nik Azlan Nik Abdul Aziz, who has resigned to pursue other opportunities.

Ahmad Zakri, a chartered accountant and chartered financial analyst, was Petronas Dagangan Bhd’s senior manager for business, financial planning and performance under the finance division.

He was also the CFO of Petronas Australia Pty Ltd from October 2012 to December 2016.

MMHE also appointed Emran Othman, 52, as a non-independent non-executive director and Keith Taylor, 67, as an independent non-executive director.

Emran was formerly the head of merger and acquisition at Petronas while Taylor is a non-executive director of Senior Maritime A/S and Offshore Decommissioning Services Ltd (UK). Both of them were also appointed as members of MMHE’s audit committee.
