KUALA LUMPUR, June 5 — Latheefa Koya has made history by becoming Malaysia’s first-ever woman to head the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). Latheefa is the fifth MACC chief commissioner, taking over from Datuk Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull. In fact, Latheefa is also the first woman to be appointed to be in charge of the country’s anti-corruption authority, including MACC’s predecessors Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) and National Bureau of Investigations (NBI).
