Keris-wielding Malaysian Sun Bird is one of the latest Marvel superheroes

Mobile game company NetMarble revealed the Malaysian character Sun Bird, who is a member of the Warrior of The Sky team along with War Tiger, Blue Dragon and Shadow Shell.

“We are excited to introduce this original team to Marvel Future Fight fans and expand on the continually growing, wide variety of character choices in the game,” said Marvel Games senior producer Danny Koo in a statement. “Warrior of the Sky is about teamwork,” he added.

Each of the characters has their own unique powers and backstories, for the players to learn and explore.

Sun Bird is described as a keris-wielding pirate from the 1600s, and is a healer. The War Tiger who hails from Thailand has great combat experience; Shadow Shell from Taiwan comes up with great strategies, while the dainty but dangerous Blue Dragon from Vietnam is wise beyond her years.

“Creating characters with different backgrounds and diverse stories and giving players a wide variety of super heroes to play as always is a joy, especially with how fans have taken to our past original creations with Marvel such as Luna Snow, and Crescent & Io,” said Joe Lee, the executive producer at Netmarble.

Marvel Future Fight celebrated its four-year anniversary with over 100 million players across the world. The game is currently available worldwide in the App Store and Google Play.
