MYEG bags additional Indonesian govt contracts

KUALA LUMPUR: MY E.G. Services Bhd’s (MYEG) subsidiary in Indonesia, PT Cartenz Inti Utama (Cartenz Group), has secured additional government mandates to roll-out its tax monitoring system to 30 more cities.

In a statement today, MYEG said this marked the expansion of the programme in Jakarta.

The group started the implementation of real-time monitoring of business transactions for tax computation purposes in 2018, with installations in retail merchant premises presently ongoing in Jakarta under a pilot programme.

It recently eas contracted by the governments of seven other provinces in Indonesia to deploy, on a chargeable basis, the tax monitoring system to cover a total of 30 cities.

Pilot installations have since commenced across the seven provinces.

MYEG managing director TS Wong said this had exceeded the company’s initial targets.

“We now believe that our Indonesian roll-out will be faster and require lower capex than our previous expectations,” he said.

MYEG said the expansion in Indonesia represented an important milestone for the company.

This not only strengthened its position as the leading e-government services provider in Indonesia, but also widened its footprint in the country’s retail sector.
