Mudah Auto launches ‘Malaysia’s Biggest Car Sale’ to revive second-hand auto industry

KUALA LUMPUR (June 19): Mudah Auto has introduced ‘Malaysia’s Biggest Car Sale’ as part of online marketplace Mudah.my’s ongoing #supportlokal initiative to help Malaysian businesses grow and recover, it said in a statement.

The company sees this initiative as the brand’s support of the Government’s Short Term Economic Recovery Plan announcement, by aiding the recovery of the second-hand automotive industry.

“Over 1,600 second-hand car dealers on Mudah.my will offer extra discounts, a minimum of 10% from their listing price for this campaign.”

To date, there are over 7,000 cars participating in addition to over 80,000 second-hand motor vehicles that are currently available on Mudah.my, it said.

‘Malaysia’s Biggest Car Sale’ commenced June 15 and will continue for a month to July 15, 2020.

“As a proudly Malaysian focused brand, Mudah.my’s mission is to democratise commerce by empowering every Malaysian to sell or share with one another,” said Mudah.my chief executive officer Gaurav Bhasin.

Mudah.my is also aiming for an entry in the Malaysia Book of Records for Malaysia’s Biggest (Online) Car sale, which would make it the first-ever marketplace to secure a spot in Malaysia’s Book of Records, he added.

Meanwhile, head of Mudah Auto Peter Wong said: “We are glad to be working together to boost sales through Mudah.my’s 8 million monthly users.

“On behalf of Mudah.my, we would like to thank each and every one of our car dealers for standing by us, and together, we will stamp our mark as one of the record holders in Malaysia.”
