Sime Darby Plantation foreign shareholding fell to 9.47% in October 2020

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 23): Sime Darby Plantation Bhd said foreign shareholding in the company fell eight basis points to 9.47% as at Oct 30, 2020 from 9.55% in the preceding month.

In its latest foreign shareholding update, Sime Darby Plantation said the company has 6.88 billion issued shares.

In August 2020, foreign shareholding in Sime Darby Plantation fell to 9.97% from 10.07% and 10% in June and July 2020 respectively, according to the company.

Malaysian government-owned fund management company Permodalan Nasional Bhd owns a 56.81% stake in Sime Darby Plantation while the Employees Provident Fund holds a 16.07% stake.

On Bursa Malaysia today, Sime Darby Plantation shares were traded unchanged at RM5.17 at 10:47am for a market value of about RM35.57 billion. The stock saw 61,200 shares transacted.
