Phase 1 of Ion Forte Green City in Melaka to start this year, says NCT chief

NCT Group of Companies is set to develop its latest masterpiece development, Ion Forte Green City in Melaka and it will take seven to eight years to complete.

Ion Forte is a collaboration between NCT and Ayer Keroh Country Club (AKCC), a golf club managed by Ayer Keroh Keroh Country Club Berhad (AKCCB).

Both parties recently hosted a ground-breaking ceremony for the development and it was officiated by Melaka’s Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Sulaiman Md Ali.

NCT founder and group managing director, Datuk Sri Yap Ngan Choy said the first phase of Ion Forte will kick off this year and is targeted for completion in 2024.

Ion Forte is located amidst Melaka’s lush ‘green belt’, on about 23-acres of development land within AKCC, known as being the first golf club in Melaka with a 27-hole golf course.

The development will have five precincts, comprising luxury serviced and branded residences, wellness suites, a clubhouse, and a commercial complex.

Among the key features include state-of-the-art lifestyle elements that will be incorporated into the clubhouse.

Ecologically designed, the development is responsibly crafted to offer a conducive living environment while upholding sustainable standards.

Wyndham Hotels and Resort, the biggest hotel chain in the world, will manage the branded residences.

Yap said the rise of Ion Forte redefines the approach towards property development as it creates the perfect balance of nature, sustainable development, health, and wellness, making it a well-established and unique one-stop destination in the region.

In addition, the development will create quality homes with good securities and facilities, he said.

“We are optimistic about the outlook of the development and more importantly the multiplier effect it will present to Melaka. We are humbled to work closely with Melaka to bring about positive economic impact to the state.

“We are committed to ensuring that we offer the best experience for our buyers while we undertake a project that showcases a forward-looking vision, eco wellness, and environmental integration,” Yap said in a statement.

AKCCB chief executive officer, Datuk Wira Dr. Ahmad Zaini Mohd Amin said, the strategic location of Ion Forte at AKCC provides a seamless and integrated experience.

Ahmad Zaini said the development will add value not just to AKCC but also to Melaka itself.

The existing connectivity to nearby popular attractions such as Melaka International Trade Centre (MITI), Zoo Melaka, and Dataran Sejarah allows for greater growth and opportunities for the State’s tourism sector to flourish, he said.
